Living Lineage: Linen in Scandinavian Folk Art and Modern Innovation

Three Rivers Fibershed and The Weavers Guild of Minnesota are collaborating on a one-day symposium centering linen, ancestral textile culture, and how material heritage plays a significant part in art, craft, and local fiber industry.

Open Book, 1011 Washington Ave S, Minneapolis, MN

Gallery exhibition opening begins at 5 PM in the gallery on the second floor next to Loft Literary Center.

Programming will include local makers market, workshops, demonstrations and opportunities to connect with linen focused organizations such as North American Linen Association (NALA) and Midwest Linen Revival (Madison, WI), discussion panels, and artist talk.  The day will culminate in the exhibition grand opening and reception for Living Lineage: Linen in Scandinavian Folk Art and Modern Innovation, a partner project between TRF and WGM generously funded by the American Scandinavian Foundation.
