Join Alejandra Sanchez from Three Rivers Fibershed for a Bundle Dyeing Workshop at the North Studio Courtyard at the Anderson Center on Thursday, July 21 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Class fee is $65 for general public and $60 for Anderson Center Members (class fee includes $12 materials fee). Space is limited, advance registration is required. Appropriate for ages 15 and older.
Learn the magical art of bundle dyeing using locally-grown flowers and plants! The workshop will focus on locally-grown dye plants and will guide you through the process of extracting beautiful colors from these plants and how to affix them to a wool/silk blend scarf. We will also engage in a discussion on the history and cultural significance of the plants, while learning how to cultivate and grow them in your own garden. Each student will take home one bundle-dyed wool/silk blend scarf. All experience levels are welcome!
